We heard from Georganne, who adopted Alonzo and River from us. She says: “Every morning, Alonzo follows me around to supervise chores. River dances to her own tune. She’s quite independent - just don’t let the dry food dish go empty.”

We received an update from Butch’s adoptive parent, Tad. Here, in part, is what he had to say: “Favorite activities are chewing tennis balls, chasing the various critters in the back yard . . . When he is on walks he shows great interest in any kid he sees playing and wants to join them. Butch is a great example of what can happen when an animal is rescued and protected and given a chance to show who they are.

Dakota is a lovely Husky mix who was in our program for over a year before she found her forever home. We never understood why, because she’s ”perfect.” Her new family includes a mom, 2 children and 3 cats, all of whom she loves, and they adore her in return.
