KEEPING!!!
Jaba is a neutered 9 month old loving puppy, who i received from a friend 3 weeks ago. He is up to date on all his shots and has a clean bill of health (i have his vet records for you). Jaba is approx. 55lbs and will be a fairly large dog, once full grown. I am not sure the breed of Jaba, he looks to have hound, great dane, and maybe another type mixed in. He will bond very quickly to you, as long as you show him loving affection (he bonded to me almost immediately). Jaba is very playful and will stick by you while outdoors (i recommend always keeping him on a leash, but he has the potential to learn to walk without one someday). A fenced in yard would be ideal, but i do not feel it is necessary if you are able to exercise him daily. He would definitely thrive in a household that does not have other dogs or cats. Currently, he is potty trained and somewhat crate trained. He likes to chew on items, he is puppy, so you will have to work on that; he enjoys bully sticks, and other types of chew toys. I currently have a dog walker who picks him up everyday to go on pack walks. I bring him to the Saratoga dog park daily, in-addition to the pack walks, to help socialize him, which he is doing really well with. I am also performing some training with Jaba to help him understand simple commands. He takes to the command fairly well, however being a puppy, repetition is needed. Jaba does have food and resource guarding issues; ONLY with other animals. The reason i have to give away Jaba is based on the fact that i adopted a rescue dog about two years ago (who has some issues) and Jaba is not the best fit. If i had only Jaba i would not have to write this. It tears me apart to give him away, however i have to do whats right for both dogs. Who ever is interested in Jaba please ensure you have the time to help him grow to be a great dog. Owning a dog is alot of work, Jaba will require training. Please remember he is a puppy and still learning, corrections/training by means of hitting him is not acceptable or helpful to his growth/learning process.
