Pandora was adopted from HOPE at the Annex in September of 2012, along with her brother Loki (formerly Xena and Iolaus). She brought so much sweetness to our home for almost 11 years. Affection was on her terms, and she had no problem being vocal or giving gentle taps to get petted. She preferred to do many laps before settling down, and purred like an idling engine, especially while making biscuits and nursing on a fluffy blanket. She loved boxes, especially ones that were way too small for her, turning her into a cupcake overflowing the wrapper. She learned to play bag or box bongos to get fed when she was hungry, even at 5 AM, and slapped her brother out of the bowl more than once if she wasn’t in the mood to share. Sunshine naps and chasing errant bugs were two of her favorite things, which she enjoyed thoroughly until it was time to say goodbye. We will always love our “princess” Pandora.
