Clear The Shelters

NBCUniversal Local is teaming up with H.O.P.E. Animal Rescue and hundreds of other shelters across the country for their annual Clear The Shelters in August 2026, a nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign that helps find loving homes for animals in need. 

 H.O.P.E. will be a part of NBCUniversal’s broadcast and digital platform on Monday, August 31st.

However much you can give, the animals can get twice as much: 

• $10 → $20 

• $50 → $100 

• $250 → $500 

But you’ll need to act fast. The match pool is shared across every participating shelter and goes to the earliest gifts — so when 1pm EST hits, every minute counts. Set an alarm, have our page ready, and make your donation right at 1pm EST. 

DOUBLE YOUR LOVE ONE LAST TIME🐾💛 

After August 31st, the matching ends — but the meals, medical care, and second chances your doubled gift provides will carry our animals forward long after.
