On the Saturday of Mother’s Day Weekend the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation, along with Honorary Co-Chairs Dave and Stephanie Collins, will welcome spring with the 2018 Historic Homes Tour.

This event offers the rare opportunity to see the interiors of private historic homes of the East Side neighborhood of Saratoga Springs from 10 am to 4 pm on May 12.

In addition, as part of the Historic Homes Tour on Saturday, May 12 at noon the Foundation will host a Lunch & Learn event at the famed historic Caffé Lena, 47 Phila Street, with presentation “The Streets Where We Live” by Charlie Kuenzel and Dave Patterson of Saratoga Tours, LLC.

The presentation will focus on the evolution of the East Side neighborhood of Saratoga Springs including the development of Circular Street, Spring Street, Fifth Avenue and Phila Street. Boxed lunches will be provided by The Inn at Saratoga. In addition, Caffé Lena will be part of the tour to provide the public with an opportunity to see their newly renovated space.

Advance discounted Historic Homes Tour tickets are $30 for SSPF members / $40 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event for $35 members / $45 non-members at 112 Spring Street from 9:30 am to 3 pm. Tickets for the Lunch & Learn event must be purchased in advance and cost $20 SSPF Members / $25 non-members. Funds raised at this event support the Foundation’s ongoing educational programs and efforts to preserve the unique architectural, landscaped, and cultural heritage of Saratoga Springs.
