SUMMARY:A Week of H.O.P.E. from The Inn at Saratoga
DESCRIPTION:Supporting Rescue Efforts Through Sandy’s Story\nJoin us at The Inn at Saratoga from June 9th–13th for a week-long fundraiser supporting H.O.P.E. Animal Rescue and the lifesaving work they do for animals in need. Throughout the week\, a portion of all Side Room Restaurant food and beverage profits will be donated to help H.O.P.E. continue providing rescue\, foster\, and adoption support to dogs in our community. \n\nSpecial Event: June 10th\nA special evening on June 10th will be dedicated to Sandy’s rescue journey and the incredible efforts of Alfie’s Rescue. Proceeds from that evening will be split between helping offset Sandy’s medical and recovery expenses and supporting Alfie’s Rescue’s tracking and recovery efforts for lost dogs like Sandy. \nReservations are highly recommended. \nThe Inn at Saratoga’s Side Room Restaurant is currently open Wednesday through Saturday from 5:00 PM–9:00 PM. Please visit their website for reservations and additional details. \n\nSandy’s Story of Survival\nSandy has been part of H.O.P.E. Animal Rescue’s program since early 2026. From the beginning\, the goal was to help Sandy safely transition into a home that could provide the environment he needed while still keeping him connected to the people and routines he loved. After months of support and planning\, Sandy entered foster care in late February. \nBecause Sandy is naturally shy and sensitive\, the transitions took a significant emotional toll on him. In early April\, he moved into a potential forever home through a foster-to-adopt placement\, with H.O.P.E. continuing to support both Sandy and his new family throughout the adjustment period. \nJust as Sandy started to open up to his new family\, he escaped. Instead of returning home\, Sandy began a terrifying 13-day journey on his own. During that time\, he survived being struck by a car\, extreme weather\, hunger\, and exhaustion. Volunteers from H.O.P.E. Animal Rescue\, Alfie’s Rescue\, and Sandy’s families spent countless hours searching neighborhoods\, woods\, and fields without giving up hope. \nOn the morning of the 13th day\, with the help of caring community members\, Alfie’s Rescue was finally able to safely trap Sandy and bring him to safety. Today\, Sandy is recovering surrounded by people committed to helping him heal and succeed. \nSandy’s story is a powerful reminder of the challenges rescue dogs can face during transitions\, and the incredible impact a dedicated community can make when people come together to help bring them home.  \n\n\n\n\n\n
