Copper, at age 16, passed away this April. We adopted him when he was 3 years old from HOPE, soon after this I became a volunteer. Copper was a dachshund and he fit all the criteria; proud, confident, determined, and always loving to family and friends. He always had his tongue out to lick you..ready or not!! He never met a dog that didn’t respect his confident nature; he could walk side by side with all of them big and small. Believe it or not he was a determined hiker, those little legs took him up many a hill much to the amazement of others. He always had a look that said “don’t underestimate me”!
As he aged his hearing and sight diminished but not his spirit and determination. Always loved and forever missed
