Donate to help Archie here

Update – January 30, 2026

This afternoon, a few of our team members visited Archie and introduced him to a potential four-legged foster friend. Archie was trhilled to see everyone, but became a bit too excited and overstimulated when meeting another dog. based on this interaction, we determined that Archie’s foster home will be one with no other dogs until he’s had a chance to decompress and move into things very slowly.

In other exciting news! This coming weekend, Archie will enjoy a short-term stay with one of our wonderful foster friends who has no pets. This will give him the chance to sleep in a cozy home, decompress, and help us continue getting to know him better. Our ultimate goal remains finding a long-term foster home that can provide Archie with a calm, pet-free environment for a few months while his owner continues to recover. If you are reading this and think you could offer this to Archie, please consider filling out our foster form today.

For those who would love to help Archie but aren’t able to offer a pet-free home, we ask that you consider donating to Archie’s fund. Thanks to your generosity, H.O.P.E. has already covered over $650 in boarding expenses. However, we still have additional boarding costs ahead, along with upcoming vaccines, food, and daily care needs.

Every contribution—no matter the size—helps us continue providing for Archie during this difficult time. Thank you for being part of his village.

Update – January 23, 2026

Archie’s journey has taken a hopeful step forward. His owner has officially signed a foster agreement with H.O.P.E. Animal Rescue as he continues recovering from a recent medical setback. This agreement allows H.O.P.E. to place Archie in a loving temporary foster home for approximately six months while his owner focuses on healing. During this time, H.O.P.E. will provide all of Archie’s food, medical care, and essential needs.

While we actively search for the right foster home, Archie will continue to be boarded at a local animal hospital at a cost of $30 per day. These expenses add up quickly, and every donation — no matter the amount — directly supports Archie’s care and keeps him safe during this transition.

Foster Needed: We hope to find a home that can provide comfort, stability, and allow occasional visitation so Archie can stay connected to the person he loves most.

Archie is a relaxed, approximately 9-year-old beagle mix with a heart of gold. He’s a little chunky for his short stature, but a total cuddle bug — fully house-trained, gentle, and incredibly sweet. While Archie has never lived with other pets before, we are open to thoughtful introductions with calm, mellow animals in the right home.

By fostering, donating, or sharing Archie’s story, you are giving both him and his owner an incredible gift — peace of mind, stability, and hope during recovery.

Every penny truly counts, and your support helps ensure Archie is never without care while we work toward his next chapter.

Original Post – January 13, 2026

Roughly seven years ago, Archie found his home through H.O.P.E. Since then, life has taken an unexpected and heartbreaking turn—not because of anything Archie did, but
because circumstances changed beyond his control.

Archie has spent much of the past year without a stable place to land. For a time, he stayed close to the person he loves most, navigating homelessness together. When a
serious medical emergency changed everything, Archie was left without a safe place to go. Most recently, he was brought to a local animal hospital, where he is currently being boarded and cared for at a daily cost that is simply unsustainable in the long term.

What matters most right now is this: Archie is safe, healthy, and very much loved—but he needs help.

Archie is a people-loving dog who has known loyalty and companionship since the day he was rescued. He has not lived with other animals before, so he would likely do best in a calm home without other pets. What he does know is how to bond deeply with his humans, and he is longing for the comfort of a home environment again after so much uncertainty.

At this time, H.O.P.E. is stepping in to raise funds to support Archie’s care while we work with his owner to establish a more long-term plan. Right now, we are asking our
community to help in two critical ways:

  •  Support Archie’s care financially. Donations will go directly toward covering his boarding and care costs while we work to secure a foster placement. Our hope is to provide Archie with stability for as long as possible while his owner continues to recover.
  •  Consider fostering Archie. Depending on what happens in the near future, Archie may need a soft place to land for a few months. Based on his history, we believe he would do best in a home with no other pets. If you have the ability and willingness to help, please contact us at [email protected].

Archie’s story is not one of neglect—it’s one of love, hardship, and hope. He has already proven how devoted he can be. Now, we’re asking our village to step up for him during this chapter.

If you can help Archie by donating or sharing his story, you are giving him something
priceless: stability, safety, and the chance to keep his family intact. Sometimes rescue looks like finding a new home. Sometimes it looks like holding space until the right moment comes. Archie is waiting for that moment.
